Trade Funds Manager

We are seeking a motivated Trade Funds Specialist to join our Finance Division. The purpose of Trade Funds Management is to verify, reconcile and apply customer deductions/payments to the agreed upon sales commitments as offered by one of our representatives.

  • Works across the organization and with multiple systems to accurately account for trade spending and validate both trade and non-trade claims.
  • Researches and resolves all customer claims/deductions, from start-to-finish, within a specified time frame.  Determines root cause of deductions to reduce future occurrences.
  • For invalid claims, prepares customer documentation to dispute claim and request payment, identifies trends and makes recommendations to prevent future invalid deductions, and works closely with Account Managers and A/R Collections to enable payback.
  • Maintains complete documentation to fully support each claim file.
  • Ensures processes and procedures are adhered to. Makes recommendations to further streamline processes and enhance procedures
  • Consistently delivers against key metrics (number of deductions closed, and percent current)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in deductions, promotions management, or related.
  • Advanced user of MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of Trade Promotion Management system(s).
  • Experience with JD Edwards or like ERP systems preferred
