Senior Engineering Manager – Communications Division

The division charter is the design, production and integration of communication systems and components. Commercial and military interior communications and audio distribution systems, wireless communication products, mass transit communications, passenger entertainment and TV surveillance systems, integrated radio management systems (IRMS), airline audio products, and microwave products.

Brief Summary: 

  • Manages a multi-discipline engineering team to design and develop electronic equipment and subsystems.
  • Directed activities start at product conceptualization and conclude with a successful transition to production and a satisfactory performing system in the field.
  • Direct interaction with Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality and other support organizations is required.
  • Manages and directs one or more Engineering Managers in the performance of their duties.
  • Responsible for coordinating common efforts among multiple programs and multiple Engineering Managers to make use of existing design concepts.
  • Overall responsibility for managing the design of electronic equipment, components, software, products and systems for commercial and military applications.
  • Responsible for all engineering activities for the programs within scope of direction, including technical compliance, schedule and budget adherence and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for generating Engineering Design Plans

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of ten (10) years related experience
  • 3 years in engineering management.
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance
  • Familiarity with PC's and software such as MS Office and Visio.
