DIRECT REPORTS: Human Resources Brand Team

POSTION OVERVIEW:
The Vice President, Human Resources supports the leaders and associates in a brand/function to integrate a sustainable and measurable Talent Management Strategy aligned with business priorities and initiatives. This requires the ability to understand a fast- paced specialty retail business model to ensure our talent initiatives are customized, relevant and measurable against the needs of the business. This individual will lead resources to drive outcomes to maximize talent capabilities, foster the accountability for promoting and sustaining an engaging environment while building a performance-based organization. Managing a team to maintain a high quality of HR operational support to our leaders and associates will be the ‘price of entry’ of this role. By building and managing a strong operational foundation, the main focus will be partnering with leaders to improve their effectiveness to maximize teamwork and drive high performance to meet business goals and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the brand/function Talent Management Strategy while ensuring necessary components of success such as recruiting, total rewards, associate engagement and retention, performance management, succession planning, organizational development/learning and change management.
  • Has a clear vision and knowledge of the fashion apparel retail business; maintains a long-term strategic view, foreseeing obstacles and opportunities by taking calculated risks, championing break-through innovation and cultivating a broad network to rally support.
  • Effectively manages through change and adversity; adheres to an appropriate and ethical set of core individual and corporate values when making difficult or unpopular decisions.
  • Able to strike the right balance between associate advocacy and business needs/demands.
  • Utilizes quantitative analysis, wisdom, experience, solid investigative techniques and sound judgment to make decisions and influence the business.
  • Streamlines and combines tasks into an efficient work flow with the ability to simplify complex processes to ensure tasks and projects meet goals and deadlines.
  • Exceptional developer and motivator of people and teams.
  • Ability to think creatively to increase the bandwidth of work with limited resources.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10+ years experience as a Human Resources leader
  • Fashion Retail Experience a plus
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Ability to travel, if necessary
  • Based in NYC
