SUMMARY
The Packaging Graphics Project Manager will work closely with all departments to deliver graphic design support to the firm and help establish and maintain consistent standards across a variety of customers, products and materials. This position requires coordinating and assisting in the management of daily workflow from receipt of art from customers to proof approval by customers and issuing authorization to purchasing The successful candidate will have excellent skills in design, communications, and organizational, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for, the traffic management and expediting of artwork, approvals, and release to production  for printed packaging including, but not limited to, printed film, fiberboard and printed corrugated.
  • Experience with production artwork and the printing process related to packaging
  • Prioritize, manage, maintain, and organize workflow of projects
  • Train and support Quality Assurance, Marketing, Sales and Purchasing
  • Implement customer brand goals into all visual aspects of design
  • Collaborate with various sources: customers, printers, purchasing, marketing team members, lawyers, support staff, and designers as necessary to maintain required schedules
  • Work with external vendors to create, produce, and deliver professional materials
  • Monitor planned delivery and/or production schedules to ensure correct priorities are used in all departments
  • Coordinate with Quality Control so they have necessary reference materials to inspect incoming materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • BA or BS preferred
  • 5+ years experience with Adobe Suite products.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
  • Effective interpersonal and team working skills
  • Experience in creation and production of multiple types packaging graphics and die lines
  • Resourceful, analytical, organized, diplomatic, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Accustomed to working under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have ability to work with cross-functional teams and personalities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
