EHS Facilities Manager

Duties

  • Prepares clear and concise reports for Senior management on program activities.
  • Analyzes and reports worldwide accident and loss data and suggest effective program improvements.
  • Assists in developing and conducting EHS training.
  • Participates on corporate EHS audits.
  • Interfaces with Legal, Product, Finance, and other groups on EHS issues of importance to the organization.
  • Authors standard operating procedures and protocols for EHS.
  • Assists Facilities with EHS compliance.
  • Monitors EPA, DOT and DEC issues and provide assistance with OSHA related issues.
  • Conducts internal and external EHS audits.
  • Provides day-to-day technical advice to the ESH team and the organization.
  • Travels to locations to support corporate EHS initiatives.
  • Manages all aspects of environmental regulations as pertains products purchased and sold.
  • Manages all aspects of environmental requirements as relates to local jurisdiction (Fire Marshal, DEC, etc).
  • Manages the Material Safety Data Sheet process to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, (e.g. DOT, Prop 65, VOC, IMDG, SARA etc.)
  • Develops and performs Environmental Training as required. Develops and distributes various communications to all levels of the organization.
  • Ensures all goals are communicated to the ESH team to reduce regulatory risk.
  • Conducts and works cross functionally with the tax department to distribute on a quarterly basis the State Petroleum tax report.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to environmental compliance.
  • Directs the organization in reduction of environmental risks such as Lead, Hazardous Waste, Mercury, ODC, VOC, and more.
  • Ensures all locations are compliant with Hazardous Material Shipping.
  • Tests and implements all environmental and hazardous material software at required locations.
  • Manages all aspects of the Quick item Add Process.
  • Responsible for responding to Environmental Questionnaires sent by Customers and Suppliers.
  • Responsible for maintaining National Fire Protection Requirements at all required locations.
  • Performs all duties inherent in the role of Supervisor including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required

Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent is required (Environmental, Safety & Health preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years Environmental or Safety Experience is required.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience is required.
  • Familiar with the EHS implications of typical distribution process (Preferred)
  • Strong, effective oral and written skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft software is required.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, financial, problem solving, leadership and communication skills are required.
  • Knowledgeable of rules, regulations and guidelines of various federal or state agencies governing EHS fields is required
  • 25% travel within the United States.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
