Director  of General Procurement and Material Services

Brief Summary: 

  • Responsible for managing the purchasing activities for Commodities and Capital
  • Responsible for material management functions including: Inventory Control, MRP Support, Shipping and Receiving, Traffic Administration and Vehicle Management
  • Responsible for process improvements and establishing metrics designed to enhance efficiency of operations. 
  • Develops and implements effective staffing plans for a multi-location environment. 
  • Small business liaison officer for all matters related to Government compliance and applicable regulations, including: developing small business plans and required government reporting

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 years experience in Procurement and Material Management. 
  • At least 3 years experience managing multiple disciplines,
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of MRP applications and related business applications.  
  • Additional training/certifications in CTPAT, APICS, and/or ITAR.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent technical and business problem solving skills.
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance, which includes US citizenship
